R & J Broadcasting, Inc. is creating a role for a creative and energetic Video Production Specialist & Sports Announcer to join our team! This unique position blends the art of visual production with the excitement of live sports announcing. Applicants have the opportunity for continued personal and professional growth as they help create and grow an expanding video department of an established media company. Applicants of all skill levels are encouraged to apply. Wage based on experience with a salary plus additional performance-based Talent pay (expected annual salary starting at $30K, with potential to earn more based on performance and experience). Opportunities for applicants with aptitude and interest for On-Air Hosting/Announcing, Sales, and Management exist.
Key Responsibilities
Video Production
- Film, edit, and produce video content for live events, highlight reels, social media, and promotional materials.
- Operate cameras and audio equipment during live or pre-recorded shoots.
- Collaborate with coaches, athletes, and staff to create engaging visual stories.
- Manage video archives and ensure timely delivery of content.
Sports Announcing
- Serve as the play-by-play announcer for live sporting events.
- Conduct pre- and post-game interviews with players and coaches.
- Provide accurate, engaging, and professional commentary throughout events.
- Sports Reporting, Coaches’ Shows, and Sports Feature programming are all featured in this role.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in video production and editing, and/or live broadcasting.
- Strong knowledge of sports terminology, rules, and storytelling.
- Proficiency with video editing software.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with live streaming platforms.
- Organization and Time management to meet deadlines
- Valid and active Driver’s License along with Vehicle Transportation to allow for completion of duties is required.
