Duties/Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

- We are looking for an upbeat, hard-working individual to help our sales team keep leading the way in market revenue.
- Responsible for entering and maintaining sales orders in WideOrbit traffic system.
- Work with Account Executives and Sales Management on projects and presentations.
- Create, prepare, and maintain sales packages for sales staff and other projects assigned by management.
- Assist with traffic logs daily and submit make goods when commercials don't air as scheduled.
- Pull and provide detailed reports for management as well as sales staff and clients.
- Coordinate with other departments on projects as needed.
- Assist with research, traffic, and programming functions within the sales department.
- Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications/Requirements:

- A strong candidate must be detail oriented, excellent data entry and have strong communication skills. This individual must be proficient in Office Products and general computer skills.

Chief Meteorologist

KAAL-TV in Rochester, MN is seeking a Chief Meteorologist.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Meteorology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
  • Experience in broadcast meteorology required.
  • Chief meteorologist experience preferred.
  • Experience with computer graphics and radar.
  • Fluency in The Weather Company’s Max Weather System is a plus.

Job Overview

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the content of KAAL on-air weather and online weather broadcasts and content.
  • Communicates warnings and alerts, produces graphics and maps, and reports live during severe weather events.
  • Effectively utilize social media, during severe weather and everyday situations, as well as write weather stories.
