R & J Broadcasting, Inc., a privately owned, family-operated company, is seeking a motivated, outgoing, and energetic individual to join our team as a Sales Representative & Sports Announcer in their Northern Minnesota market..
Position Overview
This unique hybrid role blends relationship-driven sales with live sports broadcasting. The ideal candidate enjoys connecting with local businesses, growing revenue, and bringing energy to live sports coverage.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain relationships with local businesses and advertisers

Generate new sales opportunities and grow existing accounts

Create and present advertising and marketing solutions across radio, digital, and social platforms

Provide live play-by-play (PxP) announcing for radio and live-streamed sports broadcasts

Coverage may include: Football, Volleyball, Basketball, Hockey, Baseball/Softball, and more

Assist with promotional campaigns and community engagement efforts

Collaborate with programming and production teams to support client campaigns
Qualifications

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Self-motivated with the ability to manage time and meet goals

Interest in sales, marketing, and customer service

Passion for local sports and understanding of play-by-play announcing (experience preferred but not required)

Basic computer and phone skills

Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude
