R & J Broadcasting, Inc., a privately owned, family-operated company, is seeking a motivated, energetic, and creative team player to join our staff as a Full-Time News Reporter & Sports Announcer for KSDM & KGHS Radio in International Falls, Minnesota.
Position Overview
This role combines news reporting, sports broadcasting, and multimedia content creation. The ideal candidate is organized, self-driven, and passionate about local storytelling and live sports coverage.
Key Responsibilities

Gather, write, and deliver daily news and sports reports at the local, regional, state, and national levels

Create written and multimedia content for station websites and social media platforms

Provide live play-by-play (PxP) announcing for radio and live-streamed broadcasts

Coverage includes: Hockey, Football, Volleyball, Cross Country, Swim & Diving, Wrestling, Basketball, Baseball/Softball, and Track & Field

Host a weekly sports show, including scheduling and conducting guest interviews

Edit audio and video content for on-air programming and promotional use
Qualifications

Strong communication and storytelling skills

/Ability to stay organized and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Understanding of play-by-play announcing (all levels of experience encouraged to apply)

Basic computer, audio, and phone skills
