Job Summary/Description:
Northern News Now in beautiful Duluth, MN has an opening for a news video editor who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Northern News Now is in search of a self-motivated and creative Editor. The Editor is responsible for editing regularly scheduled newscasts and special projects and performs related job duties including archiving and back-up content.
Duties/Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
- Edit video as assigned for newscasts and various digital platforms
- Upload/download video to outlets/platforms
- Communicate with the team in the newsroom
Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities -
- Experience with Edius and other non-linear systems a plus
- Shooting experience preferred
- Good attention to detail
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Must have a creative eye and a can-do attitude.
- Technical experience is a plus.
- Must have basic video editing skills and experience.
- Experience with Avid Composer is a plus.
- High school or equivalent degree.
- College degree preferred.
- Valid Driver's License and clean driving record.
