Northern News Now in beautiful Duluth, MN has an opening for a bright, motivated and energetic meteorologist for our morning newscasts. With the Northland being such an exciting region to forecast, this position will keep you busy and on your toes. You'll serve viewers across northeastern Minnesota, northwestern Wisconsin and Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. You’ll have all the tools you need to deliver everything Mother Nature throws at us.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze data and models and effectively communicate that information to viewers across multiple platforms.
  • Accurately forecast and track weather.
  • Create regular social media content.
  • Available to work both in studio and in the field
  • Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications/ Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Meteorology or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of Weather Computer systems; WSI Max is a plus.
  • Knowledge of ENSP & Edius a plus.
  • Experience as a Broadcast Meteorologist a plus.
  • Flexible scheduling especially in the event of severe weather.
  • Must have exceptional time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
