Job Overview
This 6 month position will assist Corporate Accounting in a variety of accounting tasks. The accounting intern will be exposed to multiple functional areas such as Fixed Assets, Accounts Payable, and the General Ledger.
Job Responsibilities
- Fixed Asset Setup, Maintenance, and posting month end entries
- Vendor setup adhering to established corporate guidelines
- Processing Accounts Payable invoices ensuring accuracy in coding, proper approvals are compliant with corporate policy, and vendor payments are made within vendor terms
- Accounts Payable Check Runs
- Year End 1099 Preparation and submittal to IRS
- General ledger reconciliations
- Intercompany Billings
- Other duties as assigned
What You’ll Gain:

Qualifications
- Must be enrolled in an accredited college receiving university or college credit for the internship or experiential learning requirement towards graduation. Will need to provide proof from the institution.
- Must be in good academic standing
- Available to work in the office at 10-15 hours per week
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong computer skills. Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to take direction well
- Organizational and problem solving skills
- Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with a variety of individuals in person, over the telephone and email.
- Must meet tight deadlines and work well in fast-paced, pressure situations.
- Record of being entrusted with and having successfully safeguarded significant private and confidential information.
- This position is subject to a pre-employment criminal background and consumer financial history background check. The pay rate for this position is $15.97/hour.
