Qualifications
- BA or BS degree in Journalism, Mass Communications or related field, or equivalent professional experience desired
- Two (2) years of professional experience working as a photojournalist or news photographer preferred.
- Must be reliable and able work additional hours if needed as well as travel as required.
- Good news judgment and thorough understanding of daily news content.
- Ability to read, write and speak English well.
- Flexibility to report for work on various schedules with short notice, as may be assigned.
- Working knowledge of newsroom systems, including ENPS, BitCentral, and Microsoft Office.
- Must have valid driver’s license and a safe driving record as determined by the Company. Driving record will be checked prior to employment.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift, carry and move with up to 50lbs of equipment in different environments.
- Must have manual dexterity to operate camera and editing equipment.
- Must be able to work in areas and conditions that are often noisy, have many distractions, and may be in extreme weather (heat and cold) and landscape conditions.
- Work under deadline and high pressure situations for short and extended periods.
- Must be able listen to and respond verbally to others in English.
- Must be able to move quickly inside and outside on uneven, unfamiliar terrain and areas.
- Must be able to drive news vehicles.
- Able to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to drive a vehicle as assigned on Company business.

Job Overview
Shoot video and edit news stories for newscasts on a daily basis.
Job Responsibilities
- Work with all members of the Sports Department and the newsroom on stories as assigned
- Shoot steady, sequenced video with good, clean audio for a wide variety of sports stories for daily newscasts, specials and station websites as well as social media under tight deadlines.
- Edit video and audio satisfactorily for news stories such as vos, vo/sots, setups and reporter packages using industry standard tools (Premiere Pro and After Effects) while under tight deadlines and in stressful situations.
- Travel regularly often locally however, may travel nationally and internationally. Work assigned shifts. Shifts may change often. Fill in for absent coworkers if needed.
- Ability to work other hours or alternate schedules including when called to cover breaking news, as assigned by the Chief Photographer or News Director.
- Drive company vehicle to and from stories under various driving conditions. Obey all traffic laws and safety rules of the road while in a company vehicle. Report any problems or concerns with the vehicle and traffic incidents promptly to appropriate company representative.
- Able to work with a reporter as a team or on solo assignments, as may be required.
- Ensure assigned equipment is maintained and in good working condition.
- Completes other duties as may be assigned.
