Fox 9 KMSP/WFTC is seeking an inventive and creative Automation Director to join its production team. Position will direct live and recorded newscasts and programs, operate Sony ELC production automation, and work with producers to pre-code show rundowns in iNews, camera block, and place talent. Knowledge of equipment and operating systems, including; New production automation systems (Sony ELC automation powered by Avid Inews preferred), Video Switcher systems (Sony MVS, DVS, or XVS series preferred), Server-based video playout systems (Bitcentral preferred), MOS driven graphics playout systems (Chyron preferred), Robotic Camera Systems (Vinten preferred), and audio mixing equipment required. High School diploma (or equivalent), college degree and 5 or more years of TV studio and control room operations preferred. Requires enrollment in IBEW 292 Union.

Position will oversee master control operations during newscasts, sporting events and other live programming. Ideal candidate is a positive, detail-oriented person who learns quickly and works well with a team.
