Qualifications
2-3 years of relevant news experience in content creation and production
Experience hosting a podcast, radio show or similar program
Existing expertise in audio production and post-production processes
Experience identifying and developing speaking and presentation skills in others
Must have a strong on-camera presence. Podcasts will include daily video components.
Must have a strong social media presence. Podcast marketing will include daily social media components.
Ability to record and edit podcast for video, social media and other digital platforms
Superior oral and written communication skills, including highly-developed interviewing skills
Must possess a high attention to detail, be a critical thinker, and have highly-developed interview techniques
Experience in a highly collaborative and fast-moving organization
Job Overview
The position is responsible for podcast creation, producing, hosting, and managing of all aspects of production. Additionally responsible for creating processes that drive continuous podcasting growth.
Job Responsibilities
Host, produce and edit a daily podcast and occasional weekly or bi-weekly podcasts for both audio and video platforms
Monitor the news landscape to inform content themes, topics and potential podcast contributors
Identify and book guests for daily podcasts
Engage with internal teams including News, Marketing and Sales for podcast promotion and content development
Effort enterprise/investigative stories for podcast series and specials
Record and edit video for social media and other digital platforms
Works with others on current and emerging podcasts, as needed, from both production and content-advising standpoints
Assist with the editing/uploading of partner podcasts
Assist with the development and growth of the Podcast app
