Midwest Communication’s heritage news-talk leader WKZO is searching for the next News Director for our award winning and extremely active newsroom in Kalamazoo, MI.
You’ll follow in the footsteps of broadcast legends like Paul Harvey, Tom Snyder, and Harry Caray. At the same time, we’re also a leader in online and social media to make a big impact in Michigan’s 14th largest city that is also the home to four colleges, including Western Michigan University.
We’re looking for a take-charge person who is organized, a good story-teller, a self-starter, and able to embrace new technology. You’ll help organize and be backed by other Midwest Communication newsrooms around Michigan.
WKZO is also a leader in the farming community, so a NAFB certification is preferred.
We offer a competitive salary and a full benefits package. A valid driver’s license and a good driving record are required for this position.
