Local Sales Manager

Hubbard Radio in Alexandria is seeking a Local Sales Manager.

Hubbard Radio is a full-service media company with 16 radio stations and cutting-edge digital solutions in four of northern Minnesota's most beautiful and active resort communities: Alexandria, Bemidji, Brainerd and Wadena. Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of Sales and/or Marketing Promotion experience; broadcasting sales experience preferred.
  • Prior experience with teaching, training and recruiting; proven ability to help people grow and motivate to be better sales people.
  • Demonstrated sales success in digital, event and sales promotions; experience using needs-based selling and proposals preferred.
  • Leadership skills and goal attainment in adverse market conditions.
  • Ability to establish and maintain customer relationships.
  • Established track record of creating and closing client-based solutions.
  • Proven track record for achieving and exceeding sales budgets.
  • Knowledge of rating analysis, spot schedules and traffic systems.
  • Strong knowledge of PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
  • Proven professional presentation skills with the ability to close a sale.
  • Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver's license and a safe driving history as determined by the Company (driving record will be checked).

Job Overview

The position of Local Sales Manager is responsible local and regional sales efforts. This position will develop new business for the station utilizing and maximizing all station platforms including but not limited to broadcast, digital and mobile.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop new revenue streams using the Internet, non-spot opportunities and total marketing plans using creativity and analyzing market information/trends.
  • Responsible for making and exceeding sales budgets for the stations.
  • Effectively lead, develop, motivate, coach and train staff.
  • Assist sales staff in setting, meeting and exceeding their individual and sales goals.
  • Establish good working relationships and work effectively with all members of station management staff and corporate departments.
