About Us

Gamut Podcast network is the podcast network built for creators by creators. We support original voices, take risks on big ideas, and protect what makes your show yours. Backed by one of the most respected companies in broadcasting, Hubbard Radio, Gamut isn't trying to copy what's already out there -- we're building what comes next.

We're not just making podcasts. We're building a network that matters.

Gamut Podcast Network was born from a simple idea: if we're going to do podcasts, we're going to do it right. Not as a side hustle. Not as a radio add-on. But as a focused, intentional, full-scale business built for the way people actually consume media today.

We're part of Hubbard Radio, a family-owned company that's been innovating in media since 1923. Over the last century, Hubbard's built a legacy on the strength of local storytelling, national reach, and a willingness to evolve. Gamut is the next evolution.

We exist to be the third leg of the stool--alongside our powerhouse radio group and 2060 Digital. Together, we're creating a future where podcasts aren't just content. They're community, culture, and commerce.

Job Overview

The Executive Producer, Network Content, serves as the senior editorial leader across the Gamut podcasting network. The position will provide creative leadership, coaching, and quality control across a diverse slate of shows, while also playing a critical role in identifying and vetting new talent and content opportunities for the network. This is a hands-on, high-trust role for someone who can move fluidly between strategy and execution.

This role is the podcast-network equivalent of a traditional radio Program Director, with a modern twist.

This position is a fully remote position (U.S.), with limited travel a few times per year for conferences, offsites, and select talent or partner meetings.

Job Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary editorial leader across the Gamut podcast network, setting and maintaining quality, content, and brand standards.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and creative guidance across a wide range of formats. This includes long-term content strategy recommendations for shows.
  • Maintain editorial oversight for Gamut-owned content, including participation in decisions related to episode approval, revisions, or rejection based on quality, standards, or contractual requirements.
  • Act as a calm, decisive presence during editorial or creative challenges.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for talent across the network.
  • Translate network goals, standards, and expectations into constructive, actionable guidance for creators.
  • Balance influence and collaboration for partner shows.
  • Provide hands-on technical support when needed, including light audio editing, troubleshooting workflows, and assisting creators with uploads or platform requirements.
  • Provide assistance with improvements to production quality and workflow efficiency, while ensuring this role does not become the default engineer or day-to-day technical support resource.
  • Lead first-pass evaluation of inbound podcast submissions, with authority to reject shows that are not a fit for Gamut.
  • Vet and evaluate a consistent volume of new shows and opportunities each month, assessing talent, content quality, growth potential, and strategic fit.
  • Proactively scout and identify outbound opportunities, including emerging creators and established shows that align with Gamut's strategy. Assess talent, content quality, growth potential, and strategic fit.
  • Act as a thought partner to the Head of Gamut on network strategy, programming priorities, and long-term content development.
  • Participate in occasional travel for industry conferences, talent meetings, and internal offsites.
  • Contribute to shaping the future structure and leadership of Gamut's content organization as the network scales.

Qualifications

  • Significant experience in podcasting, audio production, or digital content, with exposure to multiple formats (narrative, sports, conversational, daily, limited-run).
  • Strong editorial instincts and the ability to give clear, constructive, and confident feedback to talent at all levels.
  • Proven ability to balance creative sensitivity with high standards and firm decision-making.
  • Working technical knowledge of podcast production tools, DAWs, and modern audio workflows, with comfort stepping in when needed.
  • Solid understanding of YouTube, video-first content, and how video and podcasting increasingly intersect.
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate content and talent quickly and accurately, with a strong "ear" for potential.
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and building structure where none exists.
  • Highly organized, self-directed, and capable of managing multiple priorities without constant oversight.
  • Experience working remotely and communicating effectively across distributed teams.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.

Physical requirements

  • Sits, stands and walks on a regular basis.
  • Ability to communicate in English both verbally and in writing.
  • Dexterity to manipulate computer keys, cell phone and other office equipment.
  • Requires the ability to think critically and to articulate information in a clear and concise manner to others verbally and in writing.
  • Read, hear and speak clearly.
  • Prepare reports, business correspondence, and business proposals.
  • Quick and clear thinking required.
  • Ability to travel as needed and requested.
  • Ability to gather and organize large amounts of data and search for patterns and connections.
    • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. The Company will make reasonable physical accommodations to facilitate the ability to perform essential job functions.
