The Association of Minnesota Public Educational Radio Stations (AMPERS), the largest association of its kind in the nation, is seeking an experienced, highly driven, motivated, and energetic Director of Development.
Duties will include:
- Secure new statewide underwriting clients.
- Maintain and increase underwriting investments from existing clients.
- Write underwriting messages.
- Ensure underwriting messages comply with all FCC guidelines.
- Create underwriting schedules for clients and enter them into Marketron traffic system.
- Enter underwriting traffic instructions in Marketron, send traffic instructions to stations, and ensure stations are airing the messages correctly.
- Create underwriting invoices and collect payments from clients.
- Write and secure grants.
- Assist with lobbying efforts.
- Secure sponsors for unique, customized, educational programming.
- Communicate progress to the CEO of AMPERS on a regular basis.
- Additional duties as assigned by the CEO of AMPERS.
Preferred Experience and Skills:
- Five years of experience working in development
- Significant grant writing experience
- Experience working in public media
- Excellent writing, communication, and organizational skills
- Experience working with and within diverse communities

- 100% Remote (but work must be conducted within the state of Minnesota)

Supervising the Position
- Candidate will report directly to the CEO of AMPERS.

Compensation
- Total compensation with base and bonuses will be a minimum of $90,000 with an opportunity to exceed based on a tiered bonus structure.
