KBJR Television, Inc. in Duluth, Minnesota has an immediate opening for an assignment editor. The assignment editor works with everyone in the newsroom to assign and cover news of the day. But those duties go beyond traditional broadcast news.
We are looking for a candidate who is a news junkie. Someone who doesn’t take no for an answer when pursuing a story. Someone who can manage field crews and thrives in a deadline-driven environment.
The ideal candidate has a strong knowledge of reporting, researching, sourcing and enterprising ideas. You need to be able to multi-task, communicate effectively with crews and producers, and juggle logistics, including phones and tracking scanner traffic. KBJR-TV is part of Quincy Media, Inc.
