  • Shoot assigned news and sports stories in a creative, clear and accurate manner
  • Set up lighting and audio as situation dictates
  • Edit daily stories under deadline pressure using non-linear editing systems
  • Work with reporters and producers as well as on your own to create stories that are visually appealing and meaningful
  • Operate ENG news vans, drive station vehicle to assignments and report all maintenance problems to supervisor
  • Maintain assigned equipment in good working order and report equipment problems to supervisor
  • Complete work within newscast deadlines
  • Uphold journalistic, ethical and professional standards consistent with company policies and values
  • Perform other duties, which may be assigned by a newsroom manager

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Operating proficiency of Sony XDCAM, Panasonic P-2 or similar ENG Systems as well as non-linear editing on Edius, FCP X, Avid or a similar nonlinear editing system
  • Must be able to obtain a valid MN driver’s license
  • Must be physically able to carry, shoulder and shoot with a broadcast ENG camera (25 lbs. or more), as well as carry support equipment (i.e., tripod, lights, etc.)

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Two to five years of experience as a photojournalist in a medium to major market
  • Two to four year degree
  • NPPA style shooting experience a plus
  • FAA Part 107 license and flight experience a plus

Job Overview

The position of Application Developer is responsible for contributing to the development, maintenance and support of company software applications. Applications include websites, mobile apps, internal tools, admins, reporting dashboards and more. These solutions are often highly trafficked consumer based applications where dependability and reliability are of the utmost importance. The software engineer/application developer works in a team environment with other seasoned developers and our VP, Digital Strategy to ensure final products adhere to reliability standards and predetermined budgets, scope and design.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred and 3+ years experience.
  • Strong knowledge of PHP. Experience with CMS systems such as WordPress. Deep understanding of PHP frameworks such as Laravel, Lumen, Symfony, and Slim.
  • Good understanding of JavaScript/Node and JavaScript frameworks, such as VueJS, EmberJS, ReactJS, etc.
  • Experience with relational, cloud, NoSQL, and key-value databases such as MySQL, Amazon RDS, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, and Redis.
  • Strong knowledge of API development. Experience with RESTful APIs using OAuth2/JWT tokens and an understanding of the efficient delivery of payloads for mobile devices.
  • Familiar with Amazon Web Services or other cloud services.
  • Modern understanding of web markup, using HTML5, CSS3, and other related technologies such as Babel, Webpack, TypeScript, LESS/SASS, etc.
  • Proficient with Git/Mercurial/SVN.
  • Networks Ops experience a plus
  • Team-oriented, flexible, strong attention to detail, and able to work within a continually changing environment.
  • Resolute to working in compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • An ability to work an established schedule and other hours as needed.

Part-Time Producer

Audacy Minneapolis' WCCO-AM, is searching for an experienced, part-time Producer. Duties include following station format, editing, assisting with remote sports and talk broadcasts, handling live phone calls, sound effects, conceptualizing topics, arranging guest interviews,  playing commercials and IDs according to the program and commercial logs, following applicable laws and FCC regulations and executing to the Program Director’s direction. Candidates must have prior radio experience and be familiar with control room operations. Applicants must have a minimum of three (3) years’ experience operating broadcast equipment and conceptualizing topics in a broadcast setting. Editing and production experience is preferred. The right candidate will be a team player, be computer savvy, and have the flexibility to work different shifts.

What You'll Do:

  • One to three years as producer or on-air contributor
  • Passion for current events, news, pop culture and what’s happening around town
  • Comfortable running (and learning) multiple different board operating styles
  • Experience with radio clocks, logs and scheduling
  • Working knowledge of computer audio software, Adobe Audition, and Wide Orbit preferred
  • Demonstrated ability for using social media including, but not limited to, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, and Instagram.
  • Willingness to learn new tools and how they can help content, distribution or sales
  • Willing to work in the office or on location.
  • Multi-task with a variety of duties
  • Ability to ad lib while on air and at appearances in a coherent manner in situations that can change quickly.

  • Work established schedule and other hours as needed. Travel to and attend station promotional appearances including sales appearances.
