Live play-by-play announcer and broadcast sales representative

R & J Broadcasting is seeking a full time Play by Play announcer and Broadcast Sales Representative for an exciting new opportunity with expansion of video broadcasts on social media and regional cable network in Northwest Minnesota. If you have a passion for sports or sales and want to start or advance your career this is the opportunity for you!

Applicant duties include selling advertising time for radio, digital, video streaming, and region cable TV. Applicant will serve existing account list while continuing to prospect new accounts. Play by Play responsibilities include live play by play of local/regional sporting contests for radio, video streaming and regional cable TV broadcasts as well as conducting interviews with coaches and players and writing game recaps for website and social media. Estimated 80-120 game broadcasts per high school sports year. 

Wage plus talent commission pay structure. Expected first year compensation is expected to be in the 45K-60K range. Benefits package included. Applicant should be self-motivated, organized individual who possess ability to communicate clearly, understand play by play duties, want to sell advertising, and work within a team structure and have general computer and phone skills. Broadcast Operations / Traffic Position

Base duties would include quality control monitoring, airing and recording programs, working with broadcast logs and traffic related duties. This is a full-time position starting at our Appleton facility and will move to our new Granite Falls headquarters.
