Plans and implements comprehensive campaigns in the context of Northern Community Radio and strategic and marketing plans approved by the General Manager, using available sales tools and market research. Creates and maintains strong, long-term working relationships with northern Minnesota arts and business communities’ clients based on professionalism, follow-through and service. Researches and understands the client’s needs and develops underwriting programs, events and sponsorship opportunities that offer solutions to help fuel the client’s success. EXPERIENCE AND ABILITIES NEEDED TO QUALIFY FOR THE POSITION The ideal candidate should: · Demonstrate a successful track record in media and/or event and underwriting revenue growth. · At least 3 years experience in media/advertising sales; High school diploma required, with college degree preferred. · Able to create thoughtful and persuasive written, oral and presentation communications, as well as the ability to explain the NCR value proposition to existing and prospective underwriters. · Able to work independently with minimal supervision. Must be a self-starter. Possess a thoughtful and positive demeanor and a professional appearance. · Understand the value of, and display a passion for the arts. · Possess a high level of integrity, problem-solving and analytical skills. · Develop and maintain communications in a cooperative and professional manner with all levels of the NCR organization and customers · Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and underwriting database systems along with Marketron Traffic Software.
