KSTP-TV Twin Cities (District 4,5) For over 75 years, KSTP-TV has supported a variety of charities throughout the year by running Public Service Announcements and sharing amazing stories demonstrating the impact that these organizations have in the community. KSTP anchors, Minnesota Live and Twin Cities Live hosts also participate in speaking engagements, acting as emcess, and hosting fundraising events. KSTP's efforts in the community throughout the year include their annual Stuff the Sleigh campaign benefitting Salvation Army, Goldy's Run benefitting M Health Masonic Children's Hospital, Breakthrough T1D One Walk raising money for Diabetes Research, the Sannah Foundation, Urban Ventures, Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, and many others. Each November, many of these non-profit organizations are also featured in their Why We Give campaign leading up to Give to the Max Day, encouraging viewers to donate their time, expertise, knowledge and money. For Broadcasters Week of Kindness, the KS95 team held their 4th annual Bucks for Babe Fundraiser, raising a record-breaking $131,000 for The Bond Between and Helping Paws. Garage Logic's team has helped raise over $29,000 for The Front Line Fundation, a foundation that helps families of those who have died in the line of duty and to support preparedness training for safety officers in hospitals, schools, and places of worship, and raised money after the horrific events at Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis. KSTP-TV Twin Cities partners with Salvation Army to collect toy donations to distribute gifts to Minnesotan children in need during the holidays. Salvation Army expected a larger need this year, but KSTP-TV and its audience were able to provide toys for kids in all age groups.

KSTP-FM Twin Cities (District 4,5) KSTP-FM hosted the KS95 for Kids Radiothon to benefit the University of Minnesota Masonic Children's Hospital and Gillette Children's Hospital. The Radiothon raised $1,092,348. KSTP-FM was also recognized as a recipient of an MBA Service to Minnesota Award, NAB Marconi Award and NAB Crystal Heritage Radio Award which all honor stations for excellence in radio and community service. 

KTMY-FM Twin Cities (District 4,5) KTMY-FM and its listeners raised over $19,450 for Washburn Center for Children after the Annunciation Catholic School Shooting that took place in Minneapolis. The campaign gave the community a way to feel like they were helping in some way when many felt lost and hopeless. Washburn Center for Children was directly working with children that were impacted by the school shooting.


KSTP-AM Twin Cities (District 4,5) KSTP-AM hosted a fundraiser for Annunciation Catholic School in honor of a host's family member who attends the school. The station was able to raise $7,687.

WCCO-AM Twin Cities (District 4,5) WCCO-AM hosted a Radiothon which raised over $375,000 for Union Gospel Mission Twin Cities. Over $5 million has been raised raised in 24 years of this Radiothon. The station also raised over $440,000 for Second Harvest Heartland during their Let's Kick Hunger Day Radiothon.

KXXR-FM Twin Cities (District 4,5) The team at KXXR-FM donated over 500 pairs of boots for homeless veterans through the Magnus Veterans Foundation.

KQRS-FM Twin Cities (District 4,5) The team at KQRS-FM organized a Rock the Pantry campaign to collect food items for the Open Door in Eagan. They were able to collect over 2,000 pounds of food for those in need.

WDGY-AM/FM Twin Cities (District 4,5) During Broadcasters Week of Kindness, WDGY created kindness pitstops for listeners to drop off books to be donated at Little Free Libraries around the Twin Cities.

KZJK-FM Twin Cities (District 4,5) JACK-FM's Caregiver Coalition supported the Swing Back at Cancer golf tournament by providing items for the silent auction, on-air public service announcements and other on-air promotion. The tournament raised $40,000 with proceeds going to support cancer caregivers.

KMWE-LD Twin Cities (District 4,5) KMWE Telemundo Minnesota led a back-to-school backpack collection which collected backpacks and school supplies. Backpacks and supplies were given to Hispanic school students in the community. The station also organized a Hispanic Health Fair which provided health services to those in the Hispanic community.

KMNV-FM and KMNQ-AM Twin Cities (District 4,5) La Raza Radio's KMNV and KMNQ organized a meeting to bring together community leaders and organizations to discuss ways in which organizations and leaders could collaborate and work together to serve the community.

KDWB-FM Twin Cities (District 4,5) KDWB-FM granted holiday wishes to families and individuals across the Twin Cities. These are people who may not be able to afford Christmas gifts or are facing financial hardships in general. Gifts were donated to 17 families. Over $75,000 was raised to help purchase the gifts for the Christmas Wish program.

KFXN-FM Twin Cities (District 4,5) In partnership with the United States Marine Corps Toys for Tots program, KFXN's shows broadcasted live from a local sporting goods store. They invited their listeners to make toy or financial donations. Over 10 bins and 5 pallets of toys were collected during the event.

KEEY-FM Twin Cities (District 4,5) KEEY-FM along with its listeners and partners raised $1.3 million during their 33rd annual St. Jude Children's Research Hospital Radiothon to help fight childhood cancer. KEEY stops all normalcy for two days and talks about the Hospital and asks listeners to donate by becoming a "Partner in Hope." It is the single biggest radiothon that the hospital does anywhere in America.

KARE-TV Twin Cities (District 4,5) KARE-TV partnered with Toys for Tots and collected over 200,000 toys during an annual Toys for Tots collection in December.

WCCO-TV Twin Cities (District 4,5) WCCO-TV's Home For the Holidays Campaign with Minnesota Assistance Council for Veterans raised $1,014,988. The campaign has raised over $5 million since partnering eight years ago.
